• In July of 2009, Sioux Falls Seminary, in Sioux Falls, SD, relocated to its current campus, which is anchored by one of the only LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified buildings in the area. • At Brite Divinity School a student-led “green group” is helping to make connections among the classroom, community life, and the ministerial contexts of students and alumni.  “Brite Green,” as the group is named, was started by Megan Ammann as part of a class assignment. One of the requirements of Dr. Tim Hessel-Robinson’s “Spirit and Nature” class is semester-long, hands-on involvement with some pressing (click here to read the complete story).

• As part of their longstanding commitment to engaging in environmental issues, the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago has installed sixteen new raised garden beds on its campus. These additions to their preexisting raised gardens represent a continuing effort to promote urban gardening and local, sustainable food production.

• Asbury Seminary recently joined efforts with Blessed Earth to create the "Hope for Creation" event. Learn more about their efforts here. 

• Sustainabilty is the new buzzword at Fuller Theological Seminary. Read more about Fuller's green building practices, the green activism it supports, and its commitment to creation care in this pdf document.

• Students at Gordon College can take a semester abroad in the Creation Care Study Program. By combining travel, cross-cultural experience, and learning experiences in beautiful natural settings, Gordon College offers its students a unique educational opportunity.

• George Fox Evangelical Seminary has recently launched a Christian Earthkeeping concentration for students training to be leaders in the evangelical community. Focusing on Old Testament and New Testament Scripture, students in this program learn about caring for creation, stewardship, and community building. Read more about it here.

• Drew University, in conjunction with GreenFaith and the Watchung Avenue Presbyterian Church, recently held a two-day religious-environmental training event called Ground for Hope 2010. This event featured training sessions on green facily management, environmental justice workshops, sessions on teaching and preaching environmental issues, a keynote address by Larry Rasmussen, and much, much more.
  

• The General Theological Seminary recently updated their heating and cooling systems to an energy efficient, environmentally friendly geothermal system. Click here to read more.
